Bassano del Grappa: welcome and hospitality.
On the banks of the Brenta, is a charming place of the Vicenza Preapls, Bassano del Grappa which is without doubt one of the main centers of Veneto, as regards to the number of inhabitants with economic development that has characterized the city in recent decades. The location is very favorable compared to cities such as Vicenza, Padua and Treviso, but also to the same Verona and Venice, it is in fact at the heart of major communication routes of the North-East. Bassano is very old, and beautiful place with previous settlements of the Roman period. With the fall of Rome the territory was affected by the barbarian invasions and subsequent domination by the Longobardi and Franks, crossed the Middle Ages, passing under the control of Ezzelini, Vicenze, Padua, Verona, Visconti and of Venice, which for nearly four centuries brought peace and prosperity. From a historical point of view, Bassano and Monte Grappa bind their affairs especially the First World War, being the territory of theater clash between the military of Italian and Austrian.
